March 23 1962 the BBs appeared at Mira Costa HS with recent addition-David Marks, who saved the program for this particular show for many years.  March 20 1963 Brian helped Jan and Dean record “Surf City”-Brian’s first composition to hit number one-angering Murry to no end.  March 28 1964 the BBs appeared at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium with Brian.   March 26 and 27 1965 Brian joined the BBs in Chicago for two nights to record a possible live album.  As usual-the group wasn’t satisfied with the results and partially re-recorded it in the studio soon after, before abandoning the whole idea.  There is a far superior (in comparison to the 64 Concert outtake) version of “Don’t Worry Baby” from these shows-available on Youtube.  Brian nails it.  While they were in the Midwest, they also played a show with Brian in Cincinnati on Mar 28 1965.  March 25 1966 the BBs added vocals to “Here Today” for Pet Sounds.  March 20-25 1967 the BBs wrapped up another tour with shows in St Louis, Tulsa, Memphis and various cities in Texas. Keith and the Casinos shared the bill.  March 1968 the BBs worked on the Friends album-including the unreleased “Our Happy Home” (Mar 20) “Passing By” (Mar 22) and “Busy Doin Nothing” (Mar 26).  Mar 21 1969 Bruce led a session for his song “Deirdre”.  Mar 22 1969 Carl’s son Jonah was born.   Mar 20-28 1972 the BBs were on the road.  This was Bruce’s last tour till 1978 and the first tour with back-up singer Toni Tennile.  Blondie and Rickie were also on stage. They played at Carnegie Hall for three nights, as well as Buffalo, St John’s U, Maryland U, Franklin & Marshall, etc.  Mar 24 1973 the BBs played a show at the Men’s Colony prison in San Luis Obispo, as well as an evening show at Cal tech at San Luis Obispo.  These were benefits for Mike’s Love Foundation-to help prison reform.   Nick Kent may have attended the evening show-he wrote a review of one of the California shows that month-but doesn’t specify the venue.  Mar 21-23 1975 the BBs played shows in Arizona and at Santa Barbara (The poster for this show is constantly seen on EBay).  Jesse Colin Young and Honk joined them at Santa Barbara.   Mar 25 1976- The BBs worked on 15 Big Ones at Brother. They worked on “A Casual Look”, “Chapel of Love”, “Sea Cruise”, “Palisades Park” and “Blueberry Hill”.  March 20 and 21 1978 the BBs stopped off in Hawaii, on their way back from the infamous Australia/New Zealand tour, for two shows with all 5 original members.  Mar 25 1979 the BBs appeared on TV at an Easter Seal’s telethon in LA.  Mar 19-22 1980 the BBs, minus Dennis, played in Ottawa, Hartford, Portland and Boston.  This was soon after finishing the new album Keepin the Summer Alive.  Mar 1982 the BBs toured without Carl and occasionally without any Wilson onstage.  March 1983 the BBs toured-with Carl back in the band.  During this tour-Mike was also performing on the side with Dean Torrence-usually in the afternoons.  March 24 1984 Al remarried in Arizona and the other BBs all attended.  Hard to believe-but the minister apparently didn’t know who the group was.  March 20 1985 the BBs appeared at a special show in Salt Lake for the Special Olympics. March 24 1986 the BBs added sax overdubs to “Rock and Roll to the Rescue”.  I sort of like this song and the video too.  March 1988 Brian worked on his solo album at various LA studios.  Mar 21-26 1990 the BBs played in Las Vegas. Brian may have played the whole engagement-or at least he was with them on March 21.  Smokin

Wonder if Tex Watson joined the boys onstage for "Barbara Ann" at the SLO Men's Penal Colony show?
