Cue everyone's conniption fit, Stamos was there.

On twitter Stamos said Mike raised over a million for a children's hospital.

Is there no end to this foul and base depravity, no relief from this unrelenting and torrid stream of fetid, putrescent horror, any respite, if only for an hour, a minute, nay, a second from the maddening corrosive bile forced upon our broken and decrepid souls, a light at the end of this colonic pit of sin where God's light no longer shines, no hope for the abominations that so offend our natures and beings to the very basic principles and truths we once held dear to cease? Is all lost?

Thank you Pixeltwin for getting it, yes I was being ironic (I do that often, maybe too often...), and I was trying to have a minor laugh with this topic, carried over from the much bigger thread about the dust-up which involved the next week's worth of Mike and Bruce shows. Definitely not literal, definitely not the "bloo". If you trace the links back to the websites advertising and selling tickets for this show, the promoters and venues (press releases) clearly billed it as the last show of the BB 50th  "Reunion" tour, yet also promoted it with the publicity photo of the smaller touring band, superimposed onto the landscape of the golf course/club and apparently modifying one band member's haircut in the process!

It's all funny in an ironic way, but also quite on-topic too, because it was the first Mike and Bruce show after the big brou-ha-ha about Mike's announcement, and very ironically it was mistakenly billed as a "Reunion" show! I wonder if anyone felt like they didn't get what they bought tickets for, or whether there was any similar misunderstanding about a "reunion" versus "non-reunion" concert.

Ultimately it was a positive thing for everyone who benefited from the show - if they raised a million dollars for charity and to help kids, they really deserve a pat on the back and a "thank you" for doing that. It was a great thing Mike, Bruce, Scott, and the rest of the band did to play and raise that kind of money, they should be commended.

But you can still have a bit of fun with it, too. I don't know how Mike did this, with jet lag and all...he didn't even have the time to unpack his steamer trunk full of hats from the European leg of the tour, and already he was back on stage! That's endurance and dedication.  Grin

Back to Stamos, the real ugly shirts and the woodies. But I agree that it is a real good  thing that they raised a million $.

It's interesting to see that it probably was Brian's people who kept Stamos (mostly) out of the tour. I'm still distressed when I think what could've happened with the reunion tour. Remember, there were guitar picks with the 50th anniversary logo and Stamos' name on the other side. I don't know if it has any meaning but just the thought of the Mike'n'John act as part of the reunion....grrr... Ahhh!

There's a brief post on the BW board from someone who attended. Said they played for nearly two hours "and it was great". Nothing from "That's Why God Made The Radio" was played.  Overall, a very positive review.

A courageous act; writing something favorable about Mike on the Bloo.

In the picture with Stamos, is Mike wearing a 50th Anniversary BB's hat? If so, I think that's interesting....

I guess this show's number is around 2340 or so (13 years x 180 shows).

Kudos to Mike for jumping on stage to do a full show right after London. I'm sure he was as consistent and delivered with the same energy as he did during the Reunion tour.
