I just saw them. At first I was wondering who hell Brett Simons is...then remembered that he's Brian's new bass player. I'm still used to Jimmy Hines and Bob Lizik being in the band!

Something tells me Brian doesn't like having his photo taken  :P

I saw the photos this morning and posted them to my profile page. Was so glad Brett posted them! Fantastic behind the scenes! Brian is....well Brian!

Nice to see Darian ditching the synths for this one...

Is there any way to see the pics without a password?

Sure. Join Facebook, set your login to automatic, and voila. No password required.

That probably wasn't a smart thing for me to do. Basically asking for a freebie on a messageboard that "the suits" are known to monitor.  :police:

To be blunt: If the "suits" spent less time crusing this site checking for the lastest leak or piss-fart request of info peratining to a band whose peak was attained some 40+ years ago, and spent more time organizing the numerous things that were promised to us, then perhaps they wouldn't need to act all gestapo-like and go looking for problems where actually no problems exist. Instead of getting in a huff about people asking for pics, hows about making them accessible, instead of making a sneak-peek-but-you-only-see-them-once-you-register-but-it-will-take-a-long-time-for-your-registration-to-be-approved-but-dont-dare-ask-for-anything-in-the-meantime? I'm sure it would take less time to do that than scrutinize who dared say what. If someone can demand "archiving service fees" for tapes that weren't even theirs to begin with - and be hailed as a saint by those same "suits", I'm fairly confident those "suits" will also have no trouble pretending we didn't stoop to the arena of criminal low-lifes and dare to ask for a set of pictures on a discussion forum.

But they're on Facebook for everyone to see... just sign up and ask to be a Facebook "Friend" with Brett, or Probyn, or another of that clan. I reckon we're bloomin' lucky these guys have been generous enough to post the pics at all.

I'm not sure where your beef lies?

Nice pics...though Brian doesn't look comfortable. Its impossible to tell what his input into the project is from the photos...as he often looks like a deer caught in the headlamps anyway.

How many of us are on Facebook? Bearing in mind that on there I go by my real name :)

Or more to the point, without joining Facebook (yuck!)?

What's wrong with Facebook? I've been on that site since 2005...it's much better than Myspace!

I signed on back in the olden days when the only way you could get it was with a .edu email...those were the days

The world. I'm angry with the word.

Brian doesn't look happy  :(

Isn't it true that he's on some kind of medication that reduces his ability to show emotion? I thought I read that somewhere. I'm sure there are photos of me floating around where I'm frowning because I didn't want someone's camera in my face. And I'm sure that if I was trying to get some work done and someone started taking pictures, I wouldn't be smiling either. I think it's useless to try to figure out what's going through Brian's mind.

Okay, I can go along with that.  :lol

Do what I do -  throw something at someone. And when you're really angry, pull the pin out, then throw!

On the infamous recording of a drunk Brian singing(?) Barbra Ann, you can hear somebody say "Smile Brian, life can be better", and I thought to myself "I wonder how Brian feels being told to *SMiLE* for every single picture that's being taken of him"....

I am friends with tons of Beach Boys fans on Facebook that I assume I know through various message boards but have no idea who they are. Everyone, if you add someone from the BBs fan community on Facebook, make sure you let them know who you are!

If you really want to laugh your ass off, check out my MySpace:

http://www.myspace.com/fuhq1987

It's a fake band of mine called F*ck Y**! and is rather hilarious. I actually have over 2700 friends. Check out the songs too like "Tightly Clenching My Buttocks Whilst Gruntingly Farting (Blowing You A Kiss From My Butthole)" or "Flappin' The Roid". The Beach Boys are #3 in my top 10 friends.
