Great new placement of the
Smiley Smile
version of "Vegetables" in the season premiere of the Amy Schumer Hulu series,
Life & Beth
.
Kudos to the team for getting the catalogue to a wider audience.

Actually the BW version of this was on ‘The Bear’ recently. Last episode season2 from memory.

"The Bear" also featured "Mrs. O'Leary's Cow/Fire" from Brian Wilson Presents Smile in season 2, the extended Christmas episode called "Fishes" which was nominated for and won some awards. I just watched it over the weekend, highly recommended for fans of great acting, direction, and writing. Great soundtrack too.
I thought they may have chosen "Fire" because of the tie-in with Chicago, as well as the chaotic nature of the music to match the action on screen. Great to hear it presented that way.
And a side note, I am still not over the surprise and sheer joy of hearing "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times" in an all-time great episode of Mad Men - I did not see that coming at all but it was television at its very best. That, along with Lucas' "American Graffitti" and Michael Moore's "Roger & Me" is among the best uses of Brian's music I have seen on film, where the music matches the film scene perfectly and draws a lot of emotion from viewers in the process.
