Is the WalMart CD the only way to get "Do It Again (2012)"?
At the moment..

I thought someone said it's on the Japanese TWGMTR?

Let's hope so. Lawl-Mart ain't gettin' my money any time soon, but it's peeving me that this track is missing from my collection.

I have to get it! I'm already working on a new comp for my car. TWGMTR is 37 minutes, so I have 43 minutes to fill on the CD. Already added "Waves Of Love" and  "Don't Fight The Sea".

It was in G at the 2nd (Grand Prairie, TX) show.

I have two questions:

1. When This Whole World is played live(either on this tour or in the past) are the chords changed to make it easier to perform?

2. Prior to this tour, when the last Beach Boys tour where Brian played every single show of the complete tour? Has he ever performed a complete tour as a member of The Beach Boys? By complete, I mean even the non US dates.

Not in any of the versions I've heard. Changing the chords would make it a different song.

I've read a story that Andrew Doe told about a music teacher being given sheet music to this and becoming very confused. I think Andrew said that the music teacher said that the chords don't make sense musically. Something like that, anyway. So I figured that the group might need to make it somewhat "simplified" for live performance.

"Already added "Waves Of Love" and  "Don't Fight The Sea". "

Which version of Waves?  Hate to say it, but I like the 'demo' one better. I did something similar and also added the opening two tracks from TLOS, Al's California Dreamin' and Tidepool Interlude. t's not that I'm not happy with the album (barring some of the lyrics and elements of the production on some of the songs - and I don't mean the autotune), but I just wanted a longer CD for the car

Nowadays with the internet it's so easy to find out about new (specifically BB) releases.  But I'm wondering how did word get out in the 60's, 70's, etc. about new music releases?  Were people just glued to their radios waiting to hear a promo spot?

Radio airplay, radio commercials, magazine articles, magazine ads, TV appearances, TV commercials. You sure didn't have day-of release awareness like you have today- it took a little while for word to get out.

Indeed it is! Yea, the guy could sing just about any style of music. He is my favorite voice within the Beach Boys.

It was also inspired by a poem by Robert Frost called "The Road Not Taken". In a nutshell, the song is about using Transcendental Meditation to find inner peace and spiritual guidance.

At the Raleigh, NC show in April, Al added that "All This is That" was also inspired by "The Road Not Taken", although he accidentally attributed the poem to Carl Sandburg, not Robert Frost.

Has anyone around here or among the whole BB fanbase yet tried to do an album like George Martin (and his son) did with The Beatles "Love" but with The Beach Boys stuff ?
I can already imagine some great mash-ups and different versions for some song... (and the artwork, same background but with blue and purple colors with and one unique picture of the band we can all recognize just by the shadows, and title i guess would be "Surf" ?)

I don't know why but i think 'Til I Die and All This Is That could somehow really go well together?
and you could mix some alternate versions together, or use different instrumental for a song.. well you know, all these ideas they did with Love (and more).

Oh and i can only imagine all the stuff you can do with all the Pet Sounds/SMiLE material.

Opening track would have to be Our Prayer, for obvious reasons.

Ahah yes!
oh man, i really don't have all the material or the fiels to create such a huge project, but definitely could work on a possible tracklist i guess, ideas of mixs/mashups/remixs ect

And as for the cover a la "Love" with the shadow style, i guess this one is easily recognizable : http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/5685767/The+Beach+Boys.jpg
or you can use the same idea and take a picture where they all jump : http://medias.2kmusic.com/uploads/2010/07/22/img-1279807939-b620d685401f8b7091845531ee53dc90.jpg

Oh god, i'm so into this concept already.

It HAS to be 2 disc album tho, The Beach Boys has soo much material, even tho we follow the concept of Love and try to reproduce the same idea/songs type/concept, this will definitely need more space.
