This is what mine would look like:

Side one
1.   "Let Us Go On This Way"
2.   "Roller Skating Child"
3.   "Mona"
4.   "Johnny Carson"
5.   "Good Time"
6.   "Honkin' Down the Highway"
7.   "Ding Dang"

Side two
1.   "Solar System"
2.   "The Night Was So Young"
3.   "I'll Bet He's Nice"
4.   "Let's Put Our Hearts Together"
5.   "I Wanna Pick You Up"
6.   "Airplane"
7.   "Love Is a Woman"

And then I'd probably throw on "Had to Phone Ya" and "Just Once in My Life" as bonus tracks.

And if they'd released that, you'd be posting 50 times a week until the end of time to tell us that if we really thought about it, we'd see that this isn't a proper album because it's just a collection of rehashed older songs and cover versions, and that the only real Beach Boys albums are the ones from Surfin' USA to Holland, even the ones that contain rehashed older songs and cover versions.

Those last three tracks were released in 1980. Fail.

A lot of poor choice there IMO particularly 8, 10, 11, 12.

I think the type of songs on Love You vs MIU VS LA Light are produced so differently that they wouldn't fit on the same album.  And if you want to throw in Adult Child or Pacific Ocean Blue, that's two more very different styles.  I like them seperate. But i guess my list of favorites would be:

1. Just Once in My Life
2. Let Us Go On
3. Johnny Carson
4. Solar System
5. The Night was so Young
6. Airplane
7. Bells of Paris
8.Hey Little Tom Boy
9. Sweet Sunday
10. My Diane
11. Match Point
12. Good Timin
13. Baby Blue

I'd leave Love You and LA the way they are. I'd let MIU self-destruct and leave 15 Big Ones as a failed return to form.

But at least partially recorded in '79, from your"Gigs" chronology.  Smiley

I'd leave Love You alone and I'd be tempted to leave LA and 15 BO alone too, but if I didn't, then I'd play fast and loose with the truth (but no covers):

01. Good Timin'
02. California Feeling
03. Santa Ana Winds
04. Lookin' Down the Coast
05. My Diane
06. Pitter Patter
07. Baby Blue
08. Angel Come Home
09. Country Pie
10. Had To Phone Ya
11. Love Surrounds Me
12. Full Sail
13. Winter Symphony
14. Go and Get That Girl
15. Lines
16. Why Doncha Come Out Tonight

Morning Christmas ought to be there, but it wouldn't fit.

Well being that 15bO was 2/3 covers and a third old cuts, MIU a third old cuts and the rest rerecords of songs thrown together last min, light album and KTSA hodgepodges. .not to keep reiterating, just making the point that the lacking quality was prevalent..
