Maybe they are listening to the fans for ideas:

Man, I forgot Til I Die (also, Please Let Me Wonder and The Warmth of the Sun but I considered those casualties of war). Hmmm...this is hard.

They should just play the Endless Summer compilation from start-to-finish for the baby boomers, followed by a few cuts from Pet Sounds and Smile.  Wink

What's sad is when you read the responses posted: Barbara Ann, Catch A Wave, 409, etc.  It would be nice if they could set up some kind of poll for the die hard fans to vote on one or two real rarities like The Rolling Stones used to do.

I mean, in all honestly, a set that's about 20 songs from Sounds of Summer and another dozen or so classic album cuts and late 60's/early 70's singles would probably fit the bill. Obviously, there's no real need for "Be True To Your School" or "Come Go With Me" or "Shut Down" (not exactly an interesting live track given its simplicity), etc. Fill in the gaps with a Pet Sounds album cut, "Surf's Up" and "Friends" and "Sail On, Sailor" and "Please Let Me Wonder" and you have something that nobody can really complain about. Interesting enough tracks that the baby boomers will enjoy even if they don't know them and just enough nods to the hardcore contingent that they don't feel overloaded by singles from 1963-1965.

I would really love Kiss Me Baby. All the guys singing in unison on the verses. Mike doing his thing on the chorus, jeff on the falsetto. Plus it's a Wilson/Love.

So true. It's like people were missing the point of the post. Posts like, I hope they play Surfin' USA. Yeah, I'm sure you won't hear that.

I think they ought to throw Surfers Rule into the encore. Maybe even a closing number.

I wish they could somehow bring the voices/images of Carl and Dennis into this. Has anyone besides Carl ever done justice to tunes like Darlin' or I Can Hear Music? I know we accept Brian singing GOK because he wrote it, but can any of them sing it as beautifully as Carl?

No. But them's the breaks. I'd certainly rather have someone sing it onstage than show it as a film clip.

^ That's actually why I hope they don't do  too many of those songs. I'd much rather hear something like "All I Wanna Do" or "Friends" than hear a backing musician sing "I Can Hear Music".

No clue at all but hope someone tells them not to do medley's or Be True To Your School. They probably will do Kokomo but I would be happier if they wouldn't

Here's my list.  I tried to make it as realistic as possible, beside maybe the amount of songs.

Criteria:
- hoping for 50-songs, at least in some venues
- not really a wish list in terms of song titles, rather a based on analysis of latest setlists for M&B and BW. My wish list would be completely different!
- song order also based on  analysis of setlists for M&B and BW
- a somewhat chronological feel to it, where possible
- incidentally, not many Brian leads on the first set, but I guess it'd give him time to warm up

That setlist would suit me. I think there'll maybe be a few more new songs in there and if they do UK gigs they'll likely have a few more deeper cuts but I think you're on the right lines.
