It seems to me that using hindsight now, following Getcha Back, the song would have been riding that momentum and charted pretty good. I really like the song, except for "totally rad" .......but that's just a minor quibble

You're right monkee knutz, Someday Man/ Listen To The Band should've charted much higher....I remember when it came out way back when, I went out and bought it, always favored Listen To The Band, but the radio stations in my area ONLY played Someday Man. Wasn't until much later I'd learned Listen To The Band was the higher charting side, should've gone top 20 though, instead of 63.

I've got that In My Lifetime box set, never get tired of listening to it. I used to think my favorite Neil song was If You Know What I Mean....until I heard The Story Of My Life.  A REALLY great set!

For me, this is it. This album is my all-time favorite, not only of the Beach Boys, but by anyone! My all-time favorite. I never get tired of listening to it, I wore out my original vinyl album over the years, and it has a permanent seat in my home CD player.
