Updated the top post with recent setlists.

I wouldn't worry *too* much about the shorter setlists. I don't think he'll all of a sudden stay at a 26-song setlist for the rest of the tour.

The pattern, very roughly, seems to be that they do shorter gigs for festivals and fairs and things like that, and then sometimes that shorter setlist (or at least a still somewhat truncated setlist) carries over for gigs taking place right in that vicinity, even if they aren't the same sort of festival gig.

I'm guessing we'll at least be back to 32-35 songs for the upcoming North America leg for most shows, and potentially still back up to the higher end of 38 songs give or take.

Ushers are saying it'll be 2 hours tonight with no breaks. Seems like 26 is the new standard...

No Darien tonight. They had his rig set up and when the band had individual spotlights his station as lit.

Paul played keys during SOS and Probyn played some keys during LGAFAW.

My 16 year old daughter enjoyed it more then the McXartney concert. She got a picture with Gary Griffin after the show.

Disappointing with the short set but hopefully some great moments packed in there.

So according to the setlist site they did "Sail Away" last night? Interesting.

Although, as I saw them do that one last year, I'd much prefer they bring "Funky Pretty" back for tonight in St. Augustine, which I will be attending.

Yes, Sail Away was back. I was thrilled as this is my favorite NPP track. Blondie was the highlight once again last night as he was in ATL last year.

The harmony blend is not what it used to be without Scott and Darian though. Don't get me wrong, Matt Jardine is incredible but the group as a whole was sounding a bit tired.

Yep. Brian had an good night vocally, but I still feel a tiny bit cheated by the short setlist with no opener. The concert was over by 10:30pm. Still, I think that was the first time that I've seen them perform Little Honda.

edit: Looking at the setlist online, it seems pretty solid. 32 songs isn't bad. I'm being overly cynical for what amounts to 10 minutes worth of music.

Wasn't Billy Hinsche there?

Last night at the Fox in Atlanta during the "Wake the World-Add Some Music" 1-2 punch, I shut my eyes it was magic! Can't believe all that music was swirling around and I was alone being covered by the magic! If u have a chance, go see this show, please!

"Wake the World"/"Add Some Music" was one of my favorite moments, too. And "Wild Honey," of course! Grin

I was surprised to hear them start with "CA Girls." Brian was quite engaged throughout last night, and he seems to have found a vocal comfort zone. The Jardines were in great voice as always, and Blondie was the consummate rock star, working the crowd.

I'm still trying to absorb this show, too soon to comment almost. My hubby enjoyed it -- that was the first time he'd heard Pet Sounds all the way through (instead of individual songs), and he liked the idea of hearing it done live first. I liked this version of PS live much better than the previous time I heard it in 2000 -- slightly looser and a lot more comfortable. The ever-stellar band ripped the hide off the title track.

It sure doesn't hurt that this all took place in the best venue in Atlanta.

I got such a kick out of Little Honda when they all yelled "Go" at the beginning. They really cooked on the rockers last night.

I hope they add back Our Prayer/Heroes. It's become an iconic opener at Brian solo shows, really sets the mood.

problem I found with that, was too many people still walking in and finding seats etc.
really killed the vibe of the intro.  Stupid people.
why can't people be on time.

Sorry to read that it's not just a problem down here.  People in this part of the US always wait until the last minute if not beyond to find their seats. At the show last December H&V was over half completed, and people were still climbing through my row, trying to find their seats without spilling their drinks all over everyone.

Sometimes you can be on time but something can happen. At the show I went to last time my daughter had to go to the restroom and the line was extremely long.

In Baltimore, "Our Prayer" had no effect because of idiots coming in late...like A LOT of people still stomping in yapping. Last year at Montgomery College, it was sheer perfection. The crowd was totally seated in such a small space...everyone was ready for it and they delivered.

You don't know if they were ALL idiots..ever think that at least a few of them might have got caught in traffic, or maybe something happened in their lives to cause them to be late?
