Also the talk of extended extended C50 concerts were of Wrigley Field and Madison Square Garden. Wasn't Wrigley's concert season over for 2012 by the end of C50? Phish had been booked for NYE at Mad Ave for 2012. The promoters must have really been talking about 2013 which would make it more damning of BRI not getting together to discuss the concerts and album in a way because extra time to consider.
I was under the impression that those were being considered for 2013, but it was never clearly stated. Perhaps New Years was offered to them for 2012 early in the year and they declined? We'll never know. I think the best thing to do would've been to give it a rest, as they did, but not under the circumstances that they did. It makes re-igniting this harder than ever before.

I was under the impression that Eichenberg with never a full member of Brian's band, but just filling in for Matt Jardine due to some scheduling conflict.
That was sort of the vibe I got as well, but our friends here are referring to this activity otherwise...

I think in the spirit of Good Vibrations, Mike should incorporate that image into UK shows as a little thank you to this fine community and it's if nothing else, comprehensively bearded Sith master. Then he should poach falsettos from three more bands and form poached falsetto Voltron, which will help make Endless Summer possible in sweet syncopated harmony.
Other than that, hey "Network" kinda came true didn't it?
Poach falsettos? I'm imaging the Lovester in an Elmer Fudd costume sitting out in the marsh..... Let's be serious for a moment: Did Mike run onto Brian's tour bus and snatch Foskett and Eichenberg in the middle of the night? NO. I doubt anyone exactly twisted their arm either.....

I'm not a huge fan of the falsetto of JF, however I believe his natural baritone in the middle third is outstanding. In my honest opinion this band lost its vocal prowess when Christian left the band. Sometimes I would close my eyes and he could sound a scary amount like a young Carl. It was truly a shame we had to listen to Bruce sings GOK all those years when Christian sound eerily like Carl and light years better than Bruce on it.
I agree that Christian is/was underrated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6Qe0dZPJKoI feel like Bruce makes Mike really uncomfortable with his "OMFG R U HEERING THIS" mannerisms at the beginning of this clip that Mike stops watching his son do a great job singing a classic song so Bruce will stop looking at Uncle Mike. He stepped back from the keyboard for a few seconds and tried to make eye contact with Mike...nothing that out of the ordinary! Mike doesn't even seem to notice for a second.

From an unbiased view point (contrary to popular belief) I agree with Mike's observations...but, they were not necessary or professional in the context of promoting another show in Smalltown USA.
That being said...those clips posted on the first page did NOT boast well for the touring band. Mike and Bruce both sounded rough, and "God Only Knows" sounded extra corny on the musical end. But, that's a damn good version of "Fun, Fun, Fun" (barring a weak lead vocal) and it probably is the best the Beach Boys band has sounded in a LONG time.
The point we should all take away from these facts is that all of these guys (well, except Al Jardine...he's amazing) are declining in voice maybe more rapidly than ever now. Regardless of what "camp" you want to support, they all get your money...go out and enjoy this music live by the guys that brought it to you, regardless of how many are on the stage, while you still can.

Well besides me saying exactly when during the video, I now need to go back and do it again? Sure...if you promise to actually take it this time. Just do me a favor. ..if you're just trolling me, then fess up now, because I really don't like having my time wasted, and getting punked is near the bottom of my to do list.
This will have to wait until after dinner though.
Billy, I apologize...I didn't realize the link you posted had commentary pointing it out, so I didn't even watch it in the first place, I just re-watched the pro-shot from Conan. Now, after watching yours...Darian's right hand is in the mid-range of his instrument and it looks like it's pressed down to me creating that beautiful maj7 chord. No. I am NOT trying to "troll" or anything like that. I, like you and others here, am trying to defend my perception....but for some reason I'm the only one being chastised for it. Sums it up really! Hi there, sorry...perhaps I missed it, what exactly did I do to you?...

Yup...and besides Darian's chord, something else was being played.
But in any case I think short of actually hearing each track individually from the soundboard mix, you and I are not going to agree on this, so I'm going to drop it. I think most of the board will agree it'll be for the best. Elnombre is right. Let's both drop it.
Works for me! I wish we could've agreed to disagree earlier on and with a what less disparaging comments from others. ...are there any other promos coming up, or are is Kimmel & Conan it?

I still do not see or hear any activity from Brian's piano. Scott Bennett is responsible for the organ sound, Darian is handling the synthy sounding thing.
The few shots we see of Brian's hands they don't even look like they're on the keys. Would someone like to provide an exact marking where they think this is occurring?
But they are on the keys ... and I already pointed out how there are a couple of times where Scott is not touching the keys, and Darian is holding down a chord. ..yet there is an additional keyboard part playing. Who do you think was playing it? Conan?! Or hell, don't take my word for it. Ignore the audio/visual evidence as well. the fact you got Darian and Scott's parts mixed up isn't helping. Why not hit up Scott Darian or Nelson in Facebook and ask them yourself? Better yet, I can shoot Jimmy Vivino an email and ask him if Scott Healy played an extra part off camera. Jesus. I cannot get over how convinced everyone is that I have some secret motive to bash Brian and promote Mike and Bruce. It's insane. I will be the first to admit I don't think Bruce makes contact with his keyboard except for "Disney Girls" night after night. On the other side, Mike needs to chuck his instrument in the garbage...that tambourine kills "God Only Knows" every time...... I watched the whole video, Scott Bennett is playing something that soudns like an organ on the upbeats of the chorus in his right hand. I watched them, I'm not mixing anything up. As I previously requested, I'd love to have an exact marking in the video where Brian is playing and nobody else is that you keep referring to.

Watched again...thank you all for posting!
Brian is noticeably more audible in the first two minutes than the end. As said prior, you can hear him hit a few minuscule clunkers.

If I have to do a video capture to prove it then so be it. He hit a duff note and was the only person touching the keyboard at the time!
Please, I'm not trying to come off cocky, is it on youtube yet? I'd like to have some proof! uploading right now. Should be ready in 20 minutes unless my WiFi decides to work better. I'll check it out in the morning...thank you!

Much better than the Kimmel performance. Good, upbeat song choice. Brian was mixed low but I thought they sold the song, which to me is the point of these appearances...make people want to check out the album. I wish they could do "Saturday Night" with Nate or "Guess You Had to Be There" with Kacey on national TV soon...
Those would've been much better selections. I think both of those songs and names would yield a greater response on national late night television.

Woodstock- You're right. Thank you for responding logically. I got defensive before responding clearly and ended up hurting the view of my opinion.
But Ray & 18th........why am I the one being chastised by the mods here when these kind of remarks are being made?
Never have I encountered a stranger fan base...
