The Beach Boys' Personal Appearances, 1961-1963

I recently posted THE BEACH BOYS' PERSONAL APPEARANCES, 1961-1963, on becomingthebeachboys.com, the companion website to my book
Becoming the Beach Boys, 1961-1963
. There is also an accompanying story that sets it up for the novice, the curious, or the casual fan (you'll see the link).
The main entry includes a chronological listing of every known (so far) personal appearance the Beach Boys made between 1961 and 1963, and features images of the venues, tickets, handbills, posters, programs, stage photos, advertisements, autographed items, and other pertinent memorabilia, much of it from my personal collection. Click on the image to see it in a larger view. The vast majority of these images did not make it into the book because of space restrictions and the financial realities of the publishing industry. I am happy they have found a new home where they can be shared with fans and admirers of the band. Labor of love does not begin to describe it. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think.
Here's the link to THE BEACH BOYS' PERSONAL APPEARANCES, 1961-1963.

Thank you, Jim! What an amount on information between yours and Ian's website.
What do you think are the chances of footage of any of the local TV appearances turning up? And therefor also any of the radio broadcasts. Was this stuff saved afterwards?
Oh, and btw, one of the pictures from "Late December 1962 Venue unknown Santa Cruz, CA" seems to be inverted. Also interesting to note that the pic of Dennis playing the drums shows someone other than Brian on bass, probably from another group. There are two other guys in the picture. One of them may be playing an instrument, but you can't see if that is the case. Another one is sitting behind Dennis and obviously liking what he's hearing.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Hi Jim.
I'm Deb, nerd on Beach Boys live stuff.
I never bought your book but read free samples on google, I'm like interested on the songs that the boys performed live in they early years and I'm making a list of things the Beach Boys (could have) performed live in 1961-1963.
