Not really-drive-ins flourished in the 50's and 60's-when land started to over appreciate in the mid to late 70's, they started disappearing rather quickly. They are still around, albiet only a few here and there. They were alot of fun in their heyday-My first job after three years in the Army was manager of a local drive in-The Family Drive-in-Clifton Heights, Pa.

Gene Vincent cut  a song with similar subject matter calle dStory of The Rockers, in 1973. Oh was it bad!!!!

I don't know if this is on topic, but I especially hate songs like: 'Rock 'n' roll I gave you all the best years of my life', and 'Rock 'n' roll survivor'. Meh.
