You're really a Beach Boys obsessive when you see David's post as "Desper look at "(Wouldn't It Be Nice To) Live Again".

My post in no way is a Desper look at anything.  Only Steve Desper can write about what he did when he was there.  My post is my take on what I hear.  Not sure how anything else can be possible derived from it…that's a bit of a reach.

When you linked your article about the song, you wrote "Deeper look at "(Wouldn't It Be Nice To) Live Again". I initially saw it as "Desper look at "(Wouldn't It Be Nice To) Live Again". Not an insult or a critique of your writing, just a personal anecdote about obsessive fandom. Obviously only Steve Desper himself can write about what happened when he was there.

To be fair, that review could have been written by any fan before hearing the boxset!  LOL

Yes, it's pretty much a review of the press release and tracklisting.
You listen to a 7.5 hour box and have nothing new to say?
Nothing on the 65 unreleased tracks to comment on?
Thanks for publishing that, Examiner.

Examiner isn't exactly known for its useful, reliable reporting.

I am.

I didn't mean to offend what you did. I enjoyed reading your article.
I'm just saying that most of the articles on the website are very speculative and not entirely professional.

Yeah, why would anyone take offense at that?  Roll Eyes

My comments weren't directed at him, but at a few other authors I've read from that website.
Which is why I made an attempt to clear up any misunderstandings.

Yes. After you die, it will no longer be available to you.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

How long before we hit the big 100? This topic has become very slow. I reckon everyone is too washed up by the incredible musicality of Goin' To The Beach

Some folks get awful sensitive and often one over sensitivitious reactionism leads to another…

It's the columnaded ruins domino-ing thang, doncha know…

… it's the ambiguity of remote communication, with no indication of inflection, raised eyebrows and so-forth.

We all need to be nicer to each or assume everything is well-intentioned, which it usually is. Except when it isn't.

I'd love to have the power to ban people. I'd do it for no good reason, and would purposefully misunderstand people just so I could ban them.

Yep, and sucker-punched into submission by the performance anxiety inducing anticipation of WIBNTLA

It'll be at 100  pages within a few minutes of the previews coming out imo. With that being said, how far off do you guys think they are?

Surely it was a joke. The post above said 'Like', so it seemed to me that Gertie was also using a facebook term to say the opposite of 'like'. Supposed to be funny, was my take on it.

From the David Beard review of WIBNTLA: "The song continues into the second verse and second chorus… Pieces of “Steamboat,” “Barbara” and “Cuddle Up” can be heard along with soaring guitar licks through the release / bridge at the 2:30 mark." Wow. Sorry, but I can't even imagine something being written that would make me want to hear this song less. I'm curious about the song, and I'm hoping that I like, but my expectations are super low.

I'd ban myself, to avoid any misunderstandings.
