Try browsing ebay once in a while. Weirdest sh*t turns up on ebay.

EDIT: Damn, that's 2,000 posts. In a pants thread, of all things.

eBay is loaded with them.

I'm kind of upset opening this, and having Brian's moose knuckle staring at me.

Brian looks great there.

I'd love to have an outfit like that, screw what people think. Grin

There are listings for men's vintage plaid pants on EBay. A lot of them claim to be "disco pants," so apparently, Brian was ahead of his time.

Ebay is the least expensive option.  Ideally you can find a seller moving a lot of NOS so there won't be a lot of competition from other bidders.  If you want to spend a little more try Atom Retro.  Great clothes but they aren't cheap.

Wore that stuff in the late 60's. For about one year. Had some houndstooth checked ones my sister bought me in San Francisco.  My dad could not stand them.  Actually, neither could I. But I wouldn't admit it. If I still had them today, I couldn't get them past my knees.

I see girls wearing trousers like this all the time. Except I think they're leggings. Or pyjamas (oh, to live in a student neighbourhood). If you're cool with wearing leggings or pyjamas....

Dressing up like Brian in 1982 is the way to go....

I got a pair of those a long time ago from a Goodwill type store as part of a Halloween costume. They were polyester and didn't breath at all. Highly uncomfortable!

COMMENT:

Those are golf slacks. He owned red, green, and blue one's.  Shortly after this phase, he switched to white pants -- always white slacks -- worn with expensive colorful shirts with themes like Hawaiian, surfing, or large tropical flowers. Plad slacks are easy to find here in Florida at any golf course proshop.

Plad slacks can also be found here (click on photo for details of the fashion statement you wish to make) >>>>

If I didn't like my current one so much I'd love to change my username to "Brian's bulge". With that picture as my avy.

OMG - My mudder dressed me in stuff like that in the late 60's. Flair sleeve, plaid slacks, nehru collars... it was considered "fab"
in those days but I sure wouldnt touch it today.

However I do like some of the striped tee shirts and things Brian wore then and have tried to locate some
similar items.

I think his "pinto print" v-neck sweater is pretty cool but you dont see many pics of him wearing that.

While golf slacks and pajamas have featured plaid designs for ages, for a rather brief period of time, pretty much beginning and ending in 1968, plaid pants such as the ones Brian is wearing could be found in just about any clothing store catering to young men, along with turtleneck sweaters.

All I can say is ... ugh.

I think I might have worn some pants like that when I was a kid in the 70's. Even if they came back in style again, you'd never see me wearing them again.
