Hey Billy, no doubt you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything turns out alright, whatever you're going through. You've always been a great part of this board, and I hope you'll be around for years and years to come man.

I'll be thinking about you, Billy.  Always hate to hear when someone is going through a lot in life.

I'm going to do some serious soul searching over the next week before I make any kind of decision. A lot of this is built over how things have been going over the past month. As I was telling a buddy a little while ago, this month I've...had 2 friends pass away, have another be diagnosed with lymphoma, have my own health scare, and then lose a baby (this past Wednesday).  I've been on various BB/BW message boards for 19 years, and it's to the point where it's adding to my stress at a time where I don't need it.

I'm still going to give it some time, though, and not do anything rash.

We all love you Billy. Might I suggest maybe stepping down from being a mod? Not that you can't do your job, but if it's affecting your health and sanity(whatever's left  ;D), then something has to change.

I've considered that too. We'll see.

What about a second set of mods, in addition to those already here? It would probably take the pressure off.

Billy, you've done more than anyone else to keep this board going for longer than l care to remember, and you've done it outstandingly well. But, real life is so much more important. Your family and your health is paramount, take care of them first. You'll be missed, but for the best of reasons. Take care.

Billy, there are no words that can express the loss you and your wife have had. I lost a son in utero several years ago, and the pain comes roaring back even now and every time it comes into my conscious mind. I extend my support and sorrow for your loss. Grief is a process, and there will not be a.magic time when the pain ends. The pain will comes less often over time, but the acute nature of it will always be there. Allow yourself and your wife to express the feelings you have, and support each other through touch, active listening, and talking out your feelings. I was blessed to have a son late in life, but he is not a replacement for my son we lost.

Billy, you're a great guy. Everybody on the forum loves you. I wish you, your wife, and your ill friend all the happiness and health in the world. You deserve it.

What everyone else said. Billy's a good bloke, and doesn't deserve any of what's been happening.

I'm away now...on 'vacation'...but I had to stop in to let you know that I think you are an A-1, great guy Billy.  Priorities matter.  Do what you gotta do but remember I'm always glad to 'see' you...so regardless of the decision you make...I'll be lookin' for you...when YOU'RE ready. :hat

Billy, I am gutted to read of what you've been going through. You've come through so much in recent times and this must be the most painful of the lot. You have my deepest sympathy.

This place will get along, one way or another… as AGD says, family and real life come first. You must take the decisions that are right for you and yours, my friend.

sorry to hear about all you have been through billy. take care and do what is best for you. I've had my losses and health problems to deal with but I've always came back here. hope you will too.

Thank you guys....after much soul searching, I think I'm going to be around for a bit longer. At the very least, it gives me something to take my mind off things. If anything, I might be *more* active. I got to.

Billy if you are havinh thoughts about hurting yourself you need to see a doctor/counselor.  Asap. Even if the feeling comes and goes. Make it a prioroty.

Oh no, I'm not...haven't been that low (thank God) in about 4 years.

Hopefully this place can once again become a place that you can come visit for some enjoyable respite from the outside world, rather than an extra source of stress.
