Let's talk songs not even bootlegged! Smiley Which ones would like to hear the most? Here's my list:

1. Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again
2. Labor Day
3. Any song that Brian and Stanley Shapiro wrote new lyrics to in the early 70s (there was a third guy too I recall, but I've forgotten his name)
4. California Feeling (1974 demo)
5. Oh Lord (from BB85 sessions)

Good list
I would add Lucy Jones, Dr. Tom, You're Riding High, Don't Let Me Go, and Baby Baby (I think it was a song Dennis sang live in 72). Game Of Love would great too.

I have heard so many people speak greatly of Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again, but I have never heard it. I would also like to hear some POB/Bambu era songs that didn't make the cd.
- 10,000 years
- I Didn't Mean to Make You Worry
- I Don't Know
- Taking Off
- Barnyard Blues
- Hellen Keller

I know nothing about these songs, but I found this list in Dumb Angel by Adam Webb.

There's that cool snippet that was played in the Brian Wilson A&E Biography, it showed a great picture of Brian circa 1970-71, and Bruce was talking about Brian writing songs that were "No. 1 in his living room". Do you guys know what song I'm referring to and has it been booted?

That's it! Thanks, variable2. I forgot about that thread. The links are dead, unfortunately, but, if I remember correctly, it wasn't a long performance, so I guess it wouldn't be worth releasing, unless a comp is made including snippets like that...

Anyhting SMiLE related that hasn't been released including but not limited to:
The "I Ran" vocal session
Second movement of Surf's Up
Air element
True stereo versions of the Harpsichord Wonderful, Vega-Tables, and Holidays (Don't know if they exist or not)
Clear mono versions of Look, Water chant, Child is Father of the Man, and Surf's Up (synced with a mono backing track.)
That tape Andrew mentioned where Brian bangs out the melody to the song that became "Saturday Morning in the City"
The MIU mix of Roll Plymouth Rock (if they even worked on it)

Aside from SMiLE:
Wouldn't it be nice to live again
Santa Ana Winds, 1970 version (rumor has it that it goes back this far)
Anything from Sunflower or Love You that is not available.

I Don't Know is Love Remember Me
Taking Off is the same as Piano Variations but with full production over the piano track.
Some of 10,000 Years shows up in Friday Night... and I think Album Tag Song.

Top of my list is California Feeling from 1974 and Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again.

Release those two officially and I will die a happy man.

Those & Lucy Jones, for me. I've been dying to hear them.

This is easy.

Brian's 1974 demo of California Feeling recorded at Western.

The 1981 Beach Boys version of Sweetie with a Brian/Al/Mike lead vocal.

I'm A Man - recorded July 1980 at Mike Love's studio.

The completed version of Goin' To The Beach.

Besides all the tunes already mentioned, I'd love to hear 1963's "Malibu Sunset" (even if it's only a demo) and 1969's "Where Is She?".

Off the top of my head...

Hawthorne Boulevard (Instrumental)

Goodie Connie Won't You Come back Home (Brian's demo which ultimately became 'Surf City')

and in fantasy land :

a BBoy version of the David Marks composition, (as submitted for the Little Deuce Coupe album), Custom Car Show *

*(does not exist but would have been a great track...!)

Ah, "Lucy Jones" is fun... but not that good - shared vocal w/Stevie Kalinich. The one song that stands head an shoulders above the rest (to these ears) is "(Wouldn't It Be Nice To) Live Again".  The track for "I've Got A Friend" is pretty damn good too.

Do you reckon that COULD someday be released? Maybe they could do another "Holy Man" and get someone to sing a lead vocal for it?

These are also high on my list. I heard good things about both.

Malibu Sunset was no great shakes. Plesant at best. Look for Rarities On Compact Disc Vol. 2 to hear it.

For me, I'd be interest in any unreleased complete tracks from Smiley Smile.

Also, the biggest one for me has to be 'California Feelin'. but I would just love a higher quality of the late 70's version with carl on lead vocals.
