I know this had been done before  Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse Dead Horse ,
but what is the ideal setlist you'd love to hear/see in a BBs/BB-related concert, be it Brian, Mike and Bruce, Al, or any historical or imagined incarnation of the group?

Who do you want to sing lead on the Dennis and Carl tunes?

I may have time to type out a setlist later, but the setlist would include at least 120 songs with three intermissions!

Alex - any setlist that includes both Roller Skating Child and Anna Lee The Healer is a good setlist.  Cheesy

I'll respond to a revised version of the question - "If you won a contest and could select  5 songs that the Beach Boys would perform live, what would they be?"

For me:
  1. Little Girl I Once Knew
  2. Break Away
  3. She Knows Me Too Well
  4. Wake The World
  5. You're So Good To Me

(not enough time to construct a 30 song set list ...)

I've contended that a setlist like RobMac posted, Brian's stuff from 2001, 2002, is by far the best setlist anybody could hope for. Maybe another Love You era tune or even another Dennis thing. But Brian has said he gets sad doing "Forever," and tries to keep it off the set so I guess not.

I like the Beatles a bit more than the Boys of Beach, I think Brian's band is the tops---really amazing. And finally, I'm liberal. That's it.

Yep. That was the exact set of a Pet Sounds show from 2002 in Chicago that I saw. As far as hitting the highlights from Brian's entire career and including the crowd-pleasing hits, that is damn near close to a perfect set.

I don't have an ideal setlist but I have to give props to Mike and Bruce as in recent years they have dusted off some old chestnuts I never thought they'd play like "Getcha Back", "Forever" (sung by Uncle Jesse! Afro), "Good Timin'", "It's OK"...even "'Til I Die".  Guess even Mike got a little tired of only singing "409" all the time.
