weird how there's always a 'falling out' with Brian's friends/collaborators (not in the band).
Does Melinda have anything to do with it?

I always thought Leaf thought he was the luckiest dork ever.

Friendly game goes sour after Brian dunks on Leaf.

So what happened between Leaf and Team Brian?

I understand if you can't go into details, but even in a broad sense, what could have gone down between them, after all these years?

Between Brian & David, nothing - they're still friends.

I have zero problem with Brian being referred to as a genius. It's just that too often it seems to be said at the expense of the other band members. Leaf certainly bought into that concept hook, line and sinker.

Wasn't there an article in the 60's describing Brian as "the puppetmaster" and the BB's his "puppets"? Didn't the writer bluntly ask Carl that very question. Poor guy! How do you begin to answer such a question? Deny it and you run the risk of sounding like Mike, dodge it and you are effectively saying it's true.

What did Leaf make of the 20/20 to Holland period, which were all band intergrated efforts and the strongest run of albums of the bands career?

I think we can guess what Andrew would like to say but can't.

I'd rather be forced to sleep with Caitlyn Jenner then ever have to listen to NPP again.

Well, in the sixties it wasn't that far from being true, in terms of studio output.

I would have said, Brian definitely dominates in the studio, but we have input too--it's not like he's Mozart giving out sheet music to us. We are a real band.

I don't think that sounds too Mike-like.

Well, I'll go out on a limb here with my opinion on David Leaf.   Someone said to him, "Make like a tree and leaf!"

Sorry.

Who's the person in the inner circle here and a common thread in the on-going departures of key personnel near Brian?

Joe Thomas
Andy Paley
The Tasty Brothers
David Leaf (?)

Not to mention Irving Azoff....

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!
