These sorts of lists are always hilarious.

Less a 'greatest songs of all time' and mroe 'some pretty good songs that everyone has heard, even total idiots'

Man. I typed that without even looking at the list...it's even worse than I thought.  Every single song off Scott 4 and every Nick Drake record pisses all over most of those songs.

I think there are only about five songs on there that don't belong in a greatest songs list, tho not necessarily the Top 40.

Any list which includes Notorious B.I.G. in the top 10, has to be a definitive list.    3D

I listened to the Talking Heads song at #2 on the list.  I haven't heard that song in a long time, and it is still annoying after all these years.

I enjoy these lists a bit more, when they are in no particular order. These people clearly don't care for country music, and if the list wasn't in any particular
order, perhaps then, they could have found a place for one country tune. How about Old Five and Dimers Like Me?

If Man in the Mirror is number 4, In the Ghetto surely could have had a place on there somewhere...

If velvet underground gets sister ray instead of white light white heat, The beach boys should get Surf's up instead of GOK.

Or, I dont know exactly what I'm intending to say. The song white light white heat actually belongs near God only knows...  both those songs I will listen to at anytime. But, Sister ray is only a "good song" if I have been up for two three days on amphetamine (and have some benzodiazapine insurance to stop me from worrying)...only then is Sister ray good.

Unlike the Love You album which is perfectly awesome dead clean sober, and is merely enhanced by speed.

The only accurate top ten list would be all Beach Boys songs Smiley

I am just jazzed that a Brian Wilson song was Number 1.

"Shadrach" is a really oddball choice for a Beastie Boys song.

They probably just shuffled Paul's Boutique and the first track to come up went on the list.

It's pretty myopic to speak of "all time" when apparently considering nothing earlier than Sam Cooke.

This just in:
The entire Sgt. Peppers album takes the top 13 spots!
God Only Knows is now the 14th greatest song of all time.

Sincerely,

This list is absolutely absurd. MAN IN THE MIRROR? MAN IN THE FREAKIN MIRROR?!?!?!?! I'm dumbfounded. This MUST be a joke list. There is absolutely no other explanation. The compilers of the list are laughing themselves silly.

That said, yes of course it's great to see the BBs at number 1.

You know it wasn't a Rolling Stone list because Kanye West isn't mentioned.  Cheesy

great to see GOK at the top, but yeah this list (like most) is pretty ridiculous.

Notorious BIG, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Knife, Pulp... but no Stevie Wonder? wtf ever

I love Neutral Milk Hotel, but I am surprised that they are on this list. Not to say that I disagree or anything, but I didn't know they were that popular.
