I know almost everyone on this board hates SIP, and I understand where they are coming from. However, I like many of the songs.
Many people's biggest gripe with the record is the production. It's all very trebley, and I have been re-mastering the album for fun, trying to make it sound not so harsh on the ears. Would anyone be interested in hearing the final product?
Not looking for SIP hate on this thread, just anyone interested in hearing a less trebely, warmer version of SIP. I'm going to skip Summer Of Love though, because even I can't listen to that sh*t.

I certainly would, I've always liked "Strange Things Happen" and "Still Surfin'"!

I'd totally listen to it too. There are several tracks I like on SIP (...Summer Of Love not being one of them).

I would listen to it. It's far from my favorite BB's album, but it is the last real BB's album released in Carl's lifetime. (I consider S&S more of a tribute album)

Actually I've never listened to SIP. And from what I've heard or read, it seems that it won't be worth its high price for me.
I'd love to hear The Beach Boys (85) stripped remix version. I think many of you would prefer that.

I'd like to hear it. I think there's some good material on the album, but you're right, the production is weak.
Good call on skipping Summer of Love.

Some EQ work on the consumer end might help the album a bit (and I would indeed be interested to hear the results), but what it would really need would be a remix and/or to have certain elements (particularly the drums) re-recorded.
Even a remix would have limitations. I'm not even sure if the multi-track files stored in the "Beta" test version of Pro Tools still exist, and I'm also not sure what the limitations of the sampling rate for the stuff back in 1992 was. I'm guessing it was probably something closer to standard 16-bit, 44.1.

SIP is a guilty pleasure for me. I would buy a remaster.
Beach Boys 85 on the other hand. That one is a real stinker.

Really? I don't think the '85 album is great but it's like Pet Sounds next to SIP.

On one level I agree with you. But SIP is so bad that I love it... if that makes sense.
