Amazing how things can change in 47 years.
The performance was a few days before Brian's breakdown, which changed everything.

Does anyone know where the acapella 'We Three Kings Of Orient Are' performance that used to be on the tube has gone?

Scratch that - found it, about 3half minutes in here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrBSNfxqOuQ&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

This episode of Shindig also has the rest of a 3 or 4 song set with the group after that Little Saint Nick, and they kick arse!

Two 40 minutes segments with Mike Love on MSNBC - 2006!!!

Keep in mind that the nature of that show is offensive. Be prepared for the worst, I figure ML mostly just played along.

Anything of much interest in there?

Edit: Actually got into it some time in. Never knew Mike re-wrote "Achy Breaky Heart"

Mike's tone sounds pretty good here, compared to other recent performances.

Troof. I've only recently started watching the odd Mike/Bruce performance videos and am fairly surprised by how tired and worn Mike's voice sounds. Kinda sad that Brian's voice has held up better, in some ways, but he's certainly not bad 100% of the time or anything.

Actually, he is sounding great in those Statn Island videos. I think he sounds better than he has in years. The I Get Arond performance from that show attests to it. He is sounding comfortable in his rocking tone, much like his youn self. I'm sure his voice wears more easily through endless touring, but when he is good, he is great. By the way, they do a charming performance of Frosty the Snowman!

That poster has a lot of good and/or interesting stuff already on youtube

EDIT:

There's much more interesting stuff than this, but at the end you hear Brian play You Are So Beautiful, which is cool if you remember Dennis' connection with it

I love at the start of that, he's playing the piano and then leaps away with a kinda 'Oops, shouldn't do that!' look. He's in good voice on these!
