He has it set so low offers are automatically declined...I tried 10 and 15 dollars, and thats the max I'd pay for what he's offering  Grin

Probably around there. But I'm not interested in best-of albums, so I would never pay even that price.

50 bucks is *exactly* what I thought, but in a different way - before you beat me to it!  Grin

I was going to post a joke that if this guy walked into the "Pawn Stars" shop in Vegas and asked for anything close to that price on Ebay, he'd be laughed at and thrown out of the store.

Before that, though, Rick would offer him less than 50 bucks for the entire lot, if he was feeling generous.  Smiley

***And, absolutely, if these were original Capitol 60's pressings, first pressings sealed in a lot that included a sealed "Pet Sounds" and Smiley Smile, then yeah, the price might be justified to a point.

Reminds me...not long ago a sealed, first-pressing Pet Sounds was sold on Ebay, I remember it brought a big price, I think...anyone recall how much that sold for? It may have been a Scranton pressing, again I just can't recall those details...

Thats really cool Bgas, when does your museum open? Grin

What will I be able to charge the three that might show up every year?
Does Mikie get a lifetime pass?

I'm sending Mikie alot of passes, but he won't use them...

If your museum has a gift shop that sells items like Murry and Audree Wilson salt-and-pepper shakers and fitted Rolls Royce baseball caps as worn by Mike Love...man, I'm on the first flight out of Philly tomorrow to come visit.  LOL

And there had better be one of those spindle displays full of postcards there too, especially ones with surfboards on them.

Although it was Buy It Now and didn't sell, this one perchance:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LP-Capitol-The-Beach-Boys-Pet-Sounds-Mono-T-2458-FACTORY-SEALED-/360843617245?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item5403f4a3dd&nma=true&si=xL9q%252Bl2RqlPH3bQ2iLL7bSZgW60%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

BTW, it's now relisted for $700.

In 2010, a sealed copy (including a Gibson's discounted price sticker of $3.67) fetched $999 after 20 bids.

Theres always somebody on ebay with an idiotic price.
That said, I've never seen a copy of In Concert with that promo sticker;   Sure would like to have one of those!!

Chris, that's got to be a South African pressing doesn't it?  They were only known as "The Flames" with an "s" down there.  Plus the catalog prefix of "RRV" is weird.

Lee

It is indeed an RSA copy. Several of them were released with the added sticker. Nice to see that up to 1973 the name The Flames was still used for extra promotion. They sure were popular in the second half of the 60ies.

The story of how he both this originally is pretty interesting too.  I wonder if it's true?

This is kind of a side note, but several years ago, I remember a pair of Murry's eye glasses being offered for sale on Ebay.  I think they had an opening bid of around a $100 and did sell.

So the question begging to be asked - IF murray had a glass eye why didnt he just wear a monocle?  Razz

If there's anyone without the Holland Promo booklet,  $15 seems fairly decent:

That's pretty cool.
Odd that the only name the seller decided to name check was Mike Love.

and then there's the delusional seller(s?) like this one, who feel this BBs program should fund their retirement:

That's why the seller's name is "Doppey".

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Too funny!  They gave those out free at the concert - still have 2 of 'em.  But I'd never be foolish enough to let either one of them go for a mere $1532.06 each!  Bgas, if I recall correctly, you posted scans of your copy on the BB's Media section a few years ago.

Yeah, I'm waiting to see if this one sells, so I can sell my ONLY copy for a huge profit!!!  ( I didn't even know they were giving a show that day)

Seller has a lot of interesting items( non-BBs) at woopsy prices; mostly Dead stuff, so maybe he's tripping when he does the listings...  lots of early 60s intact tickets for Pittsburgh PA concert dates
