It is a little hard to tell. I remember the SOT set making it pretty clear that it's Brian.

The way he sings "US" gives it away, imo.

It's funny, Brian's voice was all over the place during that period.  To this day "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" doesn't sound like what a BW falsetto should sound like to me.

I totally agree with your statement about WDFFIL

Does anyone know why 1957 is part of the title of "Disney Girls"?
Bruce was 15 in 1957 and since it's a nostalgic song about youth and past times I always figured he was singing about the golden days of (his) youth, being 15 and in love and stuff...  Wink

Well, I guess he wants to know: why not 1958? Was '57 such a better year for Bruce than '58, or '56? Was 15 better than 16 or 14? Was perhaps "1957" just an aesthetic choice?
sheknowsmetoowell asked a very general question, and I took it as "Why have the year in brackets at all?". And I think that's what he meant. As to why 1957 in particular (and not, say, 1958): may be connected to personal experiences he made that year, but only Bruce could answer that. Has he ever been asked that? If not, I think it would make an excellent interview question, as I'm sure he likes to talk about the songs he has written.

Not sure this is the reason, but 1957 in memory, could still be a nostalgic year for him. In 1958 Bruce and Sandy Nelson were witnesses to John Dolphin( record label/store owner) being murdered...

Can anyone answer this one:

I assume during his early years Brian played/noodled around with a six string guitar?  (as opposed to a bass guitar)  Has Brian ever played acoustic or electric guitar on a BB's album?

Here is my question:

I am the only one who loves The Beach Boys rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic? I think it's super!

2. Am I the only one who is slightly unnerved by the line "Why don't you love her like her big brother" in Don't Hurt My Little Sister? Maybe I've been watching too much Game of Thrones.
I've thought about that too! Smiley

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I'll phrase it as a question:

Did anyone know the V/A "Shut Down" compilation is getting a CD release June 5?

Lyric is "Love her like a big brother" i.e. in a protective way.

Or maybe not, of course...

Ok, here's an odd question. When, or why, did Bruce start doing shows standing up at a keyboard? I just think it's weird that he would do a full show standing up. You would think it would get painful after an hour or so.

When: Sometime between their '84 July 4 concert and Live Aid appearance, July 13 1985.

Why: Because he has good legs, even Guy Webster said so recently  Grin

Originally posted in the Pet Sounds thread, got no response:

Today I just picked up the 180 gram 2008 vinyl pressing, the one with original art. First copy of PS for me on vinyl. However, it has papery dust and crap all over it. In addition, the label is cracked, crinkled and messed up. Did I get a bum copy, or is this a common error?"

Thanks Wirestone.  I seached the wiki list of BB songs and did not find "After the Game".  Did you possibly mean "Games Two Can Play" from Adult/Child?

Again thanks!

I'm more unnerved by the fact that the song melodically sucks rabbit anus.

Oh yes, you're right. Totally forgot about that. Wonder why.

Hmm, that date would make an excellent sitcom skit, though..  Smiley

Ok.

This is either on TSS or GV UM boot.

It's a short track, and I think all it is is a repeated descending bass line, maybe organ or flutes, and maybe some light percussion?

What is it on and what is it called?
