He looks like Rey Charles with those glasses. I thought he was going to break out and sing "What I'd Say?"

He looks like Rey Charles with those glasses. I thought he was going to break out and sing "What I'd Say?" With the bright camera work, Brian looks strangely like one of the aliens from "Close Encounters of a Third Kind"...kind of appropriate, actually! I do agree with Jay that this is a very interesting clip: Brian is actually emoting with his vocal. He really sounds invested in the song; he makes a sly lyrical change from "If I've been THE one you love" to "If I've been THAT one you love" giving it a more immediate urgency (if slightly clunky), and even adds a call for "angels! angels!" at the end. He was probably referring massive acapella harmonies from his bandmates, but it gives the rest of the song a religious vibe. I wonder what was on his mind the day he performed this? Good post!

There are people who have taken LSD thousands of times and are as sane as Jeff Foskett. Well, that's a bad example, because Jeff hates Love You and that's INSANE.

You can really tell how much he's diggin' the tune at this line. He doesn't quite make the notes, but the mere fact that he deviated from the original melody and brought it up an octave shows that he was reaaally getting into it! I think this is a great example of Brian having fun on stage...something that a lot of people seem to think never happens.

As far as the singing goes, he doesn't really make the note. But the EMOTION he puts in to it is a very pleasent "surprise". Also, listen to right after he says "Angels!". He improvises a little vocal "riff" that is a fairly high note, for him...and he nails it.

trying to be ironic, based on the fact that the song mentions the words 'Monkey's Uncle' quite a lot. It's not too clever lyrically.

It's funny I didn't even know about the L.A. Light videos until Good Timin aired on A&E. They are cool but for how bad Dennis looks.

Wow, Bruce ain't going to be happy!! As far as I know Bruce didn't do anything last time (just told them to remove it) but now I wonder if he will try and sue YouTube? But thanks again Jonas, as I didn't get to see it the first time around.

Its a great clip, and the quality is very good! I don't remember it being this good last time around... Search for youtube downloaders if you wanna keep it.

I've enjoyed all of the "Behind the Sounds" videos, but this one was especially nice, really enjoyed the photos you used.
Just one question, weren't the backing vocals for this particular tune, with the exception of Mike, all wiped out in favor of all-Brian backups?

I like the Beatles a bit more than the Boys of Beach, I think Brian's band is the tops---really amazing. And finally, I'm liberal. That's it.
