Is it possible to go through the setlist and indicate how many of these recordings Mike and Brian have never performed 'together' before, ranked by oldest recording?
It's perhaps more meaningful if one of them did the lead vocal (i.e. a track like Disney Girls should probably be asterisked because I'm not sure Brian does anything on that song live)

I may not be following the concerts close enough; are you saying that Mike does something on Disney Girls?

Well, The Beach Boys have never done I Just Wasn't Made For These Times before so that is a contender.
Did Little Honda ever get an outing in the pre-Bruce years? Only one that springs to mind.
Or, Why Do Fools Fall In Love....

What is this "life" thing you speak of ?
Syncopate it? In front of all these people?!

Seems like Little Honda was played around the time of its release on the ASL album but that is only from dim memory, nothing factual to back it up.

OK so I'll conclude that I Just Wasn't Made For These Times is the one.
I suppose a lot of pre-65 tunes would have been done live at the time simply because of the lack of material, and because they would have fitted the ethos of the time and place (cars & girls).

But mainly because they were amazing songs.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I doubt that Brian and Mike have ever done Little girl I Once Knew on stage together before this tour. And I wonder about some of the earlier stuff too...I know that they were playing tracks like Catch a Wave, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, etc. in the 90s, but Brian went out so rarely then, and I'm not sure that they played all those early cuts in the 60s before Brian quit touring - I would be curious of one of those might qualify, but otherwise Little Girl would be my guess. Of course, I don't have the kind of historical knowledge about Beach Boys setlists that some of those who lived through the 70s, 80s, and 90s, have, so I don't know for sure.

Had the Beach Boys ever done Don't Back Down with Brian and Mike present?

They performed Don't Back Down in '64 I believe. It might be Why Do Fools Fall in Love? I don't think they did this live in '64 when they recorded it. All Summer Long is another contender, don't believe that was done until the 80's and not sure if when Brian was making appearances or not. After that I would say Little Girl I Once Knew.

Don't Back Down was also heard in Sacramento 64. If one is looking for setlist details, Eric Aniversario's site is nice: http://members.tripod.com/~fun_fun_fun/setlists.html

Songs like Catch A Wave and All Summer Long Brian did live with the band in the 1976-83 period.
