I'm so stoked for this tour. I just got a 'meet and greet' VIP package for the San Diego show in May. I've never done one of these soundcheck, backstage deals for a band before...Never been lucky enough to tell any of the Boys how much I enjoy their music... and it'll be nice to go to a show and be giving the 'VIP' treatment. Plus, I also have tickets for the shows at the Hollywood Bowl and Irvine a week later too. My 'Endless Summer' might only last a little more than a week, but but I'm going to love every minute of it.

I'll be driving in from San Antonio, so I'll probably be two hours early just to make sure I'm not late. How far is the parking

Sadly the same can't be said of the Raleigh Amphitheatre show on 29th April , don't know about the Lawn sales but it appears that approx only half of the 5,500 seats have been sold  Huh

A small detail from the Billboard 'Zinepak' story.

The North American leg wraps up July 15, and the group plays two shows in Germany and a pair of Japanese dates in August

Was 3 shows in earlier releases.

Also no mention of the rest of Europe.

Rehearsals:

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Al is playing a Gibson here...we have all discussed the Gibson thing already...but there are Fenders behind him.  That's good to see.

Doesn't mean that he will play them. I guess they are for Jeff, Scott etc.

Look at the logo on the bass drum. Nice. You can see it in the TWGMTR-promovideo too I believe

Yes. His seems to be the only facebook page that regularly posts new pictures of what's happening and therefor I really respect them (whoever is running the site)

I don't care who plays them, as long as someone does.  You can't play that surfin' stuff without a Fender or two.

Soo...the tour starts tomorrow(!)...just wondering how we're going to handle the proceedings here on the board?  With each new date that rolls around, I'm sure there will be news articles, pictures and of course videos posted like crazy.  Are we just going to keep going on this particular thread and post until it explodes?  To me, I think we should devote a thread to each individual date just so comments/reviews/pictures/videos can all be organized in its own thread--instead of just jumbled into one long thread.

Just wondering before things start to go really crazy around here tomorrow....

I hear ya Rob!  I'm totally stoked for this...the first date of the tour is finally here and considering the huge waiting game we've been doing on other things (the single, new album etc)--it kinda crept up on us because here we are.  Tomorow's the big day  Grin
