I stumbled across that on youtube the other day. Freaked me out. I did not need to see the body bag. That's not how I want to think of him...and I was not expecting to see that.

I should have put a "disclaimer" before the post. I'm sorry to upset anybody. It wasn't my intention.

The vocal bit in the middle is funny, as he seems like he's about to take each of the parts...but doesn't ever take any of them. I also like his "conducting" of the staccato beats right before that.

A dream coming true for me, Brian Wilson and Kris Kristofferson on the same stage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-TlvBzNHcA(thanks to the german Beach Boys-board(s) ) You might laugh at me, but in this version I think "Me & Bobby McGee" could fit very well onto Brian Rock'n'Roll-album, which of course will probably never happen. Check out the other videos from the concert. "California girls" is very nice. I like seeing Brian standing up there...

Yeah, the video portion is taken from the "Our Team" documentary. Brian is playing/teaching "Mike Come Back To L.A." I miss that Brian.....

Heartbreaking....
The lack of clarity of the video doesn't do it justice; Brian still had it. I know it's only a four minute clip, but it shows (me anyway) that Brian did care about the MIU sessions. It is kind of funny seeing Brian standing next to and harmonizing with - Rocky Pamplin. With Dennis AND Marilyn there! Ironic...

Yup, that's exactly what that appears to be. It's really not surprising to me that Mike actually knows how to play instruments. Hang around the Wilsons for a few decades and you're bound to learn some chords.

I'd agree with Aegir: just because a guy isn't a studio- or performance-quality player doesn't mean he can't hammer out some chords on a piano and guitar (and I'd assume he could do both) to get the gist of something. Plus, he played some sax, so he obviously understood the basics of music (not just the lyrical side). It doesn't take a genius to translate some of that basic understanding and translate it to a keyboard or guitar. (That "doesn't take a genius" isn't a knock on Mike, by the way.)

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings. Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45. Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story
