ahhh yeah! isn't that all wonderful? these guys are so fun together. I miss Waylon. I remember years ago trying to get the VHS of the original performance of the first 'old dogs' album, but could never trace a copy down, pre internet then. it was on youtube in a very bad copy, but seems to have been removed, but I remember it was all 4 of them, sitting on stools I think, singing to an audience. it was kind of 'staged' as if they were doing a tv show from memory, but I never was able to get a copy of the video. the Old Dogs were great!

(RangeRover) Besides, NO musician - Beatles too - is good in films. It isn't just BBs. For some weeeeeird reason, people downplay BBs with these shoulda/ woulda/ coulda been bad actors when nobody could, in fact. [/quote]
I respectfully disagree. Ithink there are bunches of musicians/singers that were great in films:
Elvis (pre 65') Sinatra Crosby Judy Garland Neil Diamond - Jazz Singer Johnny Cash (pride of Jesse Hallam/columbo/five minutes to live) Willie Nelson Kris Kristofferson Dolly Parton Meat Loaf Queen Latifah Dean Martin Sammy Davis Jr Will Smith
that's off the top of my head. I think these guys have done some wonderful films in multiples over the years

c'mon Watamushi!! how could you not remember everything Al has sung? (hahaha!) you are great at these, keep up your great work. I love your polls. they are fresh, new and exciting. well done my friend. Al has done some wonderful vocals that are hard to dismiss, but I did vote for 'then I kissed' her'. I can't hear in my mind anybody else singing it. kind of like Mike singin 'California Girls' or Carl on 'God Only Knows'. Alan owns this.

It's really funny & absurd that such travesty as "I Write The Songs" won Grammy. Is the jury or whoever picked it dumb or what? Oh! but it makes a great introduction for Mr Love every single damn show to acknowledge it. who can get tired of hearing it over and over, year after year it's a single classic, no child would have ever heard if they weren't from the 70's...

just watched the 'jimmy fallon' official channel on youtube, Barry doesn't actually say that he 'wrote it'. is there more of this interview leading to jumping to that conclusion online? otherwise, seemed pretty straight forward to me, I didn't read into anything lucrative at all.
