Ladies and gentlemen...the one, the only...BROKENCYDE. By far THE worst music ever. People who say GG Allin made the worst music ever haven't heard Brokencyde. Besides, GG Allin's music isn't that bad.

DAMMIT, REAL BEACH BOY. I had managed to forget about them. I was hoping for it to stay that way.

This is the nadir of western civilization.
This came out in the late 90s. Believe it or not, things have gotten much,
much
worse. A good example would be the band Mr.The Real Beach Boy posted about, but there are several others.

This song is the worst song i have ever heard, this song makes ICP 's songs look like high art.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Remember, for every GG Allin or ICP or Kottonmouth Kings or Limp Bizkit there`s also a Feist, Flaming Lips, Neutral Milk Hotel, BBs, Lovin` Spoonful, Donovan, Big Star, substitute quality artist of your choice here...

GG Allin IS a quality artist! Or was, anyway. Art from a lack thereof. Just like Throbbing Gristle.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

People actually listen to this sh*t and enjoy it?
Ok, this one takes the cake for worst music video ever (and the music is just as bad LOL - they're asian rappers and one of the lines is "Don't f*ck with the gooks, that's the number one rule"

Here's the thing. Human beings are generally beautiful well intentioned people. We forget bad things. I mean sometimes bad things happen that scorch your brain and you never forget it, but in general, we forget all the midly bad things that happen to us. Ask somebody how the first week of May was this year. NO WAY IN HELL they're going to remember anything bad from it, but there's a small chance they'll remember something good from it.
It's human nature.
So in the 50's, and the 60's, and the 70's, there were a TON of shitty bands. I mean lots of them. MOST of them, we've forgotten, because we forget bad things. The only 'bad' bands that get remembered over time, are bands that really weren't completely awful, it's just for whatever reason they made it huge and you personally didn't lke them, so they're rememberable not because you hate them, but because so many other people like them and you don't understand why.
Like Tiny Tim. He was pretty god awful. However, he made it big and lots of people liked him and his music... so he stands out, in some people's minds, as a bad singer or bad musician. He's 10 times better, though, than all the TRULY crappy bands that were out in the 60's, that we've since forgot because there was absolutely no redeeming quality to their music.
So I think that while there may not be as many brilliant musicians out now as there may have been in the past, there's not more 'bad' bands, it's just their fresh and we still remember them.
