Ok, What are your thoughts about this song and the Beach Boys interlude???
I love it and can almost hear the Beach Boys themselves singing with cool music backing them up.

Wow, no one wants to comment on the middle of this TV show song???

It was co-written by Mike Post and it has a very catchy Beach Boyish middle part.

You are totally correct,... the song totally has that Beach Boys part, without a doubt an homage to the BB's.

There's also an episode of this show called "Be True to Your School", in which the original BB song is played in the episode.

I have an "unofficial" copy of the series that has this episode with the song intact, though I think the official release (only in Canada?) of Season 2 uses replacement music. This entire series is hilariously awful, and my friends and I regularly gather around to watch and guffaw at its "greatness".

Going all the way back to the seventies, 1975 to be exact, Mike Post released a really nice instrumental version of Wouldn't It Be Nice.

By his own count, Mike Post has scored around 2,000 hours of film.

And that infamous L&O sound effect overshadows everything else he's ever done.
