First of all. In my version of Purple Chick's re-arrangement of Smile,  in the Good Vibrations with the Tony Asher lyrics, on the 0:13th second there seems to be some sort of glitch. At least, that's what I thought. But then I heard roughly the same thing in the Anne Wallace version and in some early Good Vibrations version (don't know where from, but the first vocal starts with 'and she's already working on my brain'.

Is it really some sort of mistake, or is it just the percussion coming in at the time that makes me feel this way. Because it really sounds as if the long 'I' before "I only look in her eyes" is interrupted for a fraction of a second. As if you got something in your eye and you have to blink to get it away. Anyone else feel this way?

And secondly. This is about the bonus track in Purple Chick, the Good Vibrations with the Mike Love lyrics. In the 19th second, during 'lifts' in 'on the wind that lifts her perfume through the air', seems to be a really rough eh.. 'vibration' behind it. The same things happens behind "with me to a blossom world", especially behind the 'a' and 'world'. You can't even hear that 'world' is being sang. It sounds all fuzzy. I don't know how to explain it.

Then another time in the 'hum de dum' section. In the first 'hum-de-dum-oho'. Behind the 'oho'. Tongue

I want to know if anybody else has heard it, or if my Purple Chick version is messed up.

If you do happen to have Purple Chick and don't have this problem, then please say so as well, so I know it's my file.

I have the Purple Chick version and I've never noticed a problem.  Doesn't mean it ain't there, though.

put my nice headphones on, and i can hear the lil "vibration" behind "lifts".  And "world" does sorta fuzz out a bit.  But i'd never noticed those things before really.  And i kinda hear the "blink".

but i have to listen pretty closely.

for some reason my mind is telling me that there's a worse version of PC smile out there.  I have the better one.  But i think you'd know if you had the low quality one, it was pretty bad.

Mmm, well maybe that's it then. Although these were FLAC files, so expected high quality. As I mentioned, I heard the blip on the Ann Wallace version as well. Maybe it's just the way it's recorded.

I'll search for a new Purple Chick album though. Thanks.

Hmm, I don't know Rego's Capitol Mix.

I've uploaded the small fragments I'm talking about. I'm wondering what you all think of this. Does/would this bother you in a song such as this?
