Oh no Doe - PLEASE... Let us keep this one - that Brian still on top of his game in 1966 could author something like that 'vege-ta(b)le' (at least until hard or at least circumstantial evidence is uncovered to prove otherwise - something that someone like yorself would be able and willing to dig up(?))

And for somebody - anybody to even suggest that Brian didn't write that other fairytale (Mt. Vernon & Fairway) would be strictly no-go! So don't go there... EVER

No sweat, I've no trouble believing Brian wrote "Mt. Vernon..." - even with Jack narrating, it still sounds like Brian. Plus, JFR told me he witnessed Brian writing it (allegedly, he did that by sticking letters in a notebook, one by one...).

The 1966 'tale', however, sounds more like Derek Taylor to me.

Firstly, apologies if anyone has already mentioned this but it is possible to hear Brian narrating the Mount Vernon fairy tale verbatim to an unnamed guest and the fact that Brian is almost word perfect does lend credence to the idea that he wrote it. It's out there. Somewhere.

Or that he's adept at memorization...
