He's racking up the frequent flier miles.

Anyone get the feeling this is going to be a farewell tour?

It is nice that you guys in Canada are getting your own tour. Hopefully he'll be on par with the shows last year. Have the recorders handy!

While it's nice he's doing Canada, and the UK, and Paris,  what's the problem with managament that there is NO US tour announced?
He's doing 9 friggin Canadian dates, and nothing mentioned for the whole USA?
Brian needs to get off his butt and kick his management HARD.   They're downright crummy.
A US artist with no US tour.

While that is true, and sucks for you guys, he has NEVER done a Canadian tour ever. So I've had no opportunity, so I'm not upset at all.

I think it's great!

And it doesn't necessarily preclude doing any US dates.

Why the hell does it matter where he tours? Pretty soon when the American tour dates are announced the friggin' Europeans, Australians, and Canadians will be screaming bloody murder. "WHY ISN'T BRIAN COMING BACK TO US?!? STOP THE friggin' MADNESS! WE LOVE HIM MORE THAN THEY DO!!!!!!1111oneoneone"

He'll be back eventually. Sheesh. Sometimes I feel like the Brian Wilson Tour is like a parasitic conjoined twin for some people...and you sure don't hear the Japanese complaining!

I hope that if/when he does a farewell tour it'll be with his own material, rather that George Gershwin's. Nothing against it, it's just that I'd rather remember Brian Wilson for Brian Wilson's music.

Plus, I've thought every tour he's done since 2000 would be his last.  Always happy to be proved wrong on that!

Giving Ireland a miss again

Given that Ireland isn't in Canada, I find that entirely understandable.

It's not fucking "cross-Canada" if your tour ends in Montreal. There is a whole other section of Canada to be toured! If The White Stripes and Slayer can play in Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador, so too can Brian Wilson.

Andrew, can you call Melinda and tell her to schedule some tours for eastern Canada? (Halifax, NS and/or Sackville, NB would be most appreciated.) That'd be great! LOL

What really pisses me off is the he just left Australia and I only got to hear him play 3 Gershwin tunes. No LOS either...
The three songs were really well recieved!!

Yee-Haw!

Scored great seats to Brian in Edmonton and Calgary today.

Several people who wanted me to buy them tickets to the Calgary show just flaked out and now I have about 4 spare tickets.
If anyone is looking for wonderful seats (2 and 3rd row orchestra pit) for the Calgary show pm me and I can hook you up.  Not looking to make a bunch of money, just want to find the tickets a good home.

Anyone else going to the Calgary or Edmonton show?  I'm up for a BB/BW geek meet up pre or post show...

I wouldn't get too carried away with that "always sells out his shows in Europe" thing. Even his so-called biggest fans in the UK can't seem to sell out a good portion of his shows.

Hey I am going to the Calgary show! I was wondering what seats you have for sale? My friend apparently expected me to buy tickets for her but I didn't know. I have seats 33 & 34 in the second row of the Orchestra pit, what numbers are your seats?

Have to say, that's just not the case. The RFH shows in 2002, 2004 & 2007 were almost entirely sold out, but I've been to concerts in Nottingham ('02), Portsmouth ('04) and Birmingham ('05) that were far from full. Likewise, in mainland Europe he seems to sell well in The Netherlands & Scandinavia, but has always had huge problems in Germany.
