I searched and didnt see anything conclusive.

Did this bass line tag at the end of "Can't Wait Too Long", ever show up on any other BB song? I saw someone mention its the bass line from "Wind Chimes" but I dont think it is.

It's the bass line that preceeds that section that is similar to Wind Chimes.  I can't think of where else that part pops up.

It's the second section of Wind Chimes, Smile version (the group vocal section).
