Over the years on tribute albums, we've seen a lot go by, sure, I can't remember any of the band's names, but I do know they covered some really good songs that are (or were at the time) unreleased:

Rainbow Eyes, Stevie (Caroline Now!)
Wouldn't it Be Nice to Live Again and Carry Me Home (Adam M. and his fantastic band)
That Special Feeling (that particular Smiley Member that did a fantastic job on it)
Saturday Morning in the City, Gonna Hustle You, Spirit of Rock and roll (Cameron Michael Parkes)
Do you Have Any Regrets (Darian S.)
Carry Me Home (Primal Scream or something of that nature)
Can't Wait Too Long (A Jazz Portrait of BW)

And I can also think of a particular tribute album that had half rare covers, half originals (trib. to BW and DW), it had the likes of Slip on Through, Still I Dream of It, Surf's Up, Love and Mercy, You're So Good To Me, Little Bird, Be Still, and so on.

Anyone think of any other good ones?

if you just want to include 'rarities' per say those very rare but released to very small media:

Almost Summer, Go Away Boy (Caroline Now)
She Rides With Me, I Do, Sweet Mountain, Number One (Cameron Michael Parkes)
Celebrate the News (Adam M.'s Amazing band)

Um... don't think I'd call a #28 Billboard hit "very rare but released to very small media"...  Grin

Likewise, I'm pretty sure that the jazz cover of "Can't Wait Too Long" came out after the original (1990) 2fers. (edit - indeed: 1997)

"He´s A Bum" - Cherry (1986)

Always wondered how that came about.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

There was a low-fi tape of that doing the rounds since 1983.

That's legit, as in a BB recording, but it's always sounded more like an embryonic "Mona-Kani" to me.
