He sure seemed really lucid during the Jim Pewter interview in August, '74. 'Course maybe he was doing lines in the bathroom during the breaks when Jim was playing songs......

No, Brian was having a real good time during the Pewter interview. He brought down some records from his own collection for Pewter to play and was laughing and having a good time. He answered all of Jim's questions correctly, plus contributed more facts of his own. Jim called out for snacks and Brian talked about what chips and dip he liked the best. He walked out when Jim played "Heroes & Villains", then came back into the studio for the last hour. Maybe he was snorting hog rails or sparking up a J in between breaks, I dunno.  But Brian was in a partying mood and really into it that night. Of course he liked Pewter and listened to his radio program (KRTH in L.A.) all the time during that period.
