Shocked i really dig this combi brian & taylor ! Why has it been taken off ? I hope they do it in the live setlist. What do you think. I also love the backing vocals from the other band members

I love the 50's pop vibe. The guitar and background vocals really give it that feel. My only smalll complaint is some of Taylor's phrasings. They sound more from these times and it just doesn't work within the confines of the 50's type arrangement.

I love the idea of the song, doing it as a duet. To me it sounds more Manhattan Transfer than Brian Wilson. I don't think it would have fitted the mood of the album.

A lost comic opportunity of epic proportions.
He should've done this duet with Mike Love. Just thinking about it makes me laugh.

when was this written? I feel like I've seen this title before, like in an unreleased songs of BW list, I could be completely wrong though.

Well according to Wikipedia it was written for the 1937 film Shall We Dance.

Written in 1937 for Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the film musical Shall We Dance. So the song is 73 years old, with Brian giving it a 1950's interpretation.

Wish this had Carole King on it instead of Taylor...

Not particularly great, to my ears. Brian sounds "off," and the chemistry between him and Taylor is nonexistent.

It still has great lead guitar and background vocals. It sounds like my mother's old records. It's a shame Brian sounds kind of disinterested.

Weak vocal arrangement. Brian's singing is not bad (and in fact is quite good in parts), and neither is Taylor's. But....they don't blend well at all.

I don't like the intro. For some reason it makes me think of the Christmas album.

Not bad, just kinda there. Definitely not as bad as I was expecting.

Still beats the hell out of the worst BW recording ever....Speed Turtle.

Glad it was left off the album.  Sounds like a novelty recording, whereas BWRG feels way more substantial to me.

It's growing on me the more I hear it. Not up to the standard of BWRG, but it's not as bad as I initially thought.

Yesterday's Billings Gazette had a brief interview with  Mike in which he said he was planning to record this fall with Brian... Hug
