The wikipedia entry for Eric Carmen, and for the song in question, state that the Beach Boys sang background vocals (including, I assume, the a cappella breakdown) on his 1988 hit "Make Me Lose Control."  This is absolutely the first I have heard of this, but to go by some recent revisions I assume Carmen's people have had input into the wiki entry, so I'm assuming it's legit.  Anyone else has any background info on this?

Hard to believe that would've happened without us hearing about it until now...but Brian did sing backup on "She Did It", some 11 years previous.

No he didn't, as far as we know. Bruce arranged and sang on it, that's it.

I thought that Brian sang backing vocals during the Hey Deanie and She Did It sessions but was mixed out.

Depends who you listen to. He certainly did bvs for both songs (Carl was first pick but he had a family event that day and suggest Eric call Brian), but while Carmen & Bruce say his performance was sub-par and the bvs were re-recorded, Curt Becher (who also did bvs) maintained he's there, albiet deep in the mix.

As for "Loose Control", the bass(-ish) vocal in the chorus sounds a little like Mike... but it isn't.
