Is there something in the Wilson gene that is pre-disposed toward lawsuits?!

What I don't get is, she was supposed to get paid $5000 a day, but she says they owe her 277,500.

?

?

So there must have been a day in there somewhere where she went home and pulled a halfsy.

How do we even know the story is true? The Onion is more reliable than Fox "News".

I'm a republican.

Nothing wrong with that. I wasn't knocking Republicans, I was just knocking Fox.

The Onion is probably more reliable than any news agency these days, including Fox or MSNBC.

If you're going to knock Fox News, you might as well knock *any* news organization.  They're all pretty damn biased (only Fox tilts to the right).

In any case, I don't see this lawsuit going well for Carnie.

right on! I don't agree with all of Jone's theories, but he at least keeps us updated on the two wars we are fighting and the national debt count, as the mainstream news seems to shy away from.

I think the major media gives plenty of coverage to the growing national debt and the two on-going wars, it's just that the public doesn't seem that interested.  And politicians keep doing like they always do, spending more and more money to get reelected.

Ok, the nightly news gives a death toll and a major bombing report, but recently I've never seen them cover the debt nearly as much as when GW was in office. When Bush was in office we saw Cindy Sheehan protesting the wars covered on the Nightly news, but when Sheehan protests Obama we hear nothing of it. And Fox will glorify Bush like he is a saint and defend his out-of-control spending, but never will they do the same for Obama. I get my info from both extreme right wing underground media (infowars) as well as extreme left underground media (truthout.org) and figure it all out from there. FOX, MSNBC, and CNN drive me up a wall.

I'm pretty excited to see so many infowarriors on the SS message board! I mean, even one is a lot. Still, you should check out http://www.strike-the-root.com/ for the only news that doesn't look towards the state for ANY answers. Just sayin'...

The lovely thing about the state of the media and our national psyche these days is that there's a news source that will always tell us exactly what we want to hear, and if we hear something we don't like, we can dismiss it as biased.

The unfortunate casualty of this is no one can ever discuss anything anymore, or even establish any objective criteria for what is a Fact.  Without any kind of self-examination, critical thinking (not just of the other guy, but our guys too) or admission that our beliefs are fallible, anything we believe is a Fact.

There.  I am done.
