I've been really enjoying the new Al CD and it got me to thinking about the rest of his solo output.  These are the only songs I know of, are there any others that I'm missing?  Thanks!

Papa Loved Mama (Garth Brooks Tribute 1999)
Carlifornia Energy Blues (Live in Las Vegas bonus track 2001)
P.T. Cruiser (Single 2002)
California Recall Blues (Website download 2003)
Help Me Rhonda (w/The Lettermen Vocal Hall of Fame 2004)
California Girls (w/The Lettermen Vocal Hall of Fame 2004)
California Saga (solo demo One in a Million ESQ 2004)
Sloop John B. (New Version from book 2005)
Big Sur Christmas (Website Download 2008)
Christmas Day (iTunes 2009)

Added California - Thanks!

California Recall Blues (Website download 2003)

Is this the same as CA Energy Blues? It doesn't ring a bell.

Presume there are some Postcard outtakes –  California Dreaming for one. Anyone know of others?  Has Song of the Whale appeared on postcard under another name?

Almost exactly the same - just reworded somewhat.

Don't forget the horrible Schwarzenegger impression! Smiley

On one of the ESQ CDs, I believe it's the One In A Million CD, there's a version of California on there that is just Al, double-tracked vocally, backed only by his acoustic guitar. This was recorded in 1996 as a demo for Stars and Stripes; Merle Haggard was the intended performer. Part of it was used in the Endless Harmony documentary during Al's bit about living in Big Sur.

Al's acoustic "California" is truly amazing. His vocal and guitar playing. Sure wish he'd do more like that one, as well as another solo CD. Great stuff!

Agree. HAve loved this since I first heard it, when it floored my ass (or whatever the expression-de-jour is!). It's a little too sombre in tone for multiple repeated listens but every BBs fan should hear it more than once. It has no parallel within the BBs catalogue and is a great example of how versatile they're capable of being.

Never had much luck in acquiring this version.  Too bad he didn't put it out as a bonus track or something.

Yeah me neither, I was hoping it was just an alternate mix of the version on Postcards but it sounds very interesting.  I guess we'll just have to wait for the deluxe edition of Stars and Stripes!
