Hm.

Been doing some research, and going through back issues of Billboard, this popped up in the "Studio Tracks" column:

"Out in old Los Angeles, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and Fred Vail are co-producing a country album at Wally Heider's studio"

So what ? So, it's in an issue of Billboard 23 January 1971. Is it in any way possible the news item got buried for over six months ?

I'm in the middle of grilling him about that period for another project, just sent him a PS... but of course, Nashville is still awash.
