To paraphrase from one of the BB Made for TV movies:

Mike: "So... whad'ya think of our show?"
Brian: "The show? Ah yeah, the show, it was... it was... yeah, man! Yeah."

I have the interview he just says he didn't like it. Andrew it must of been the 1972 one because the interview is from the June 1973 Record World.

I stand corrected - last gig recorded for the 1973 release was in September. Time I started looking at my own website once in a while.  Smiley

Wasn't Brian covered by the 8 ball?  Maybe that is why he didn't like it.

The dude under the 8 Ball looks to thin to be Brian.

Perhaps Brian just doesn't care for live recordings.

According to Billy Hinsche, the dude under the 8 ball is Carli Munoz.

I always thought it was long, lean Ed Carter...but what do I know?"

don't remember what I ate for dinner yesterday but seem to recall that I saw Mr Carter wearing that shirt at a concert on a later date.

That's kind of harsh considering the album was sort of dedicated to Brian (there's an engraving on the original vinyl records if I remember correctly).

Brian snorted the 8 ball.

Is "the 8 ball" just the number 8 applied to a hole burned in the photo by a cigarrette?

Looks like an 8 Ball positioned over someone with an afro to me.

I'm almost positive it's Carli Munoz.

The 8 ball is actually covering the face of Billy Shears, whom took the place of Paul McCartney. If you listen to Sail On Sailor live backwards...

They must've had to use an 8-ball to cover up Munoz's humungous afro.

You were told wrong - Jack's way taller and bulkier than that.
