Great unreleased Beatles songs? Hmmm...let's just say that their unreleased songs were that way for years for a reason.

Indeed. When I first heard "What's The New Mary Jane", that was a heavy "WTF ?" moment... and there's an overwhelming reason why Macca will never release "Carnival Of Light" (despite his regular bleatings about how it's now time...): it doesn't just suck, it's actually toxic. It makes "Revolution 9" sound like "God Only Knows".

I wonder how many great unreleased songs the Beatles had. That is one very frustrating thing about being a BB fan. They have so many incredible songs that have never been officially released, and so many lesser songs from the same era.

Mike's not a Hawthorne boy. The Hawthorne guys stuck together. The Wilsons and I always had a special bond. We felt like we were a team.

How incredibly cool would it be if they'd just release a CD or double CD full of unreleased Beach Boys songs? And I'm not talking about stereo mixes, alternate takes, live tracks or binaural mixes or any of that stuff, but songs that have never been released in any form. There are so many of that that it shouldn't be too hard to fill one or two CDs with decent material.

It would be cool, but it would have to go through the whole vote/veto process with Carl's Estate, Brian/Melinda, Al, Mike, and whoever at Brother Records wants to speak for Dennis. There's also several legal matters that possibly keep things like this from happening as well.
