VDP to play UK!

Sadly only one show, (which i am going to miss due to acting commitments
) , but Van Dyke and his new favourite band (Claire & The Reasons) will be hitting the UK as part of Richard Thompsons Meltdown.
It's on Friday 18th June in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, with tickets costing £25. Hopefully this could be part of some larger tour, but i doubt it. SO gutted I'm going to miss it!
Here's a link, tickets on sale 15th of April (next thursday)

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

I (and no doubt others here) saw him at QEH a few years back and he gave us a superbly entertaining evening. When some wag in the audience shouted out for him to play Cabinessence, he retorted that he was there merely to "open the door for Brian Wilson". Low and behold, Wilson himself was next door at the RFH not too long after.
Afterwards VDP was the perfect gent and spent a long, long time signing goodies and chatting to those members of the audience who hung around afterwards.
I hope I'll be allowed out to see this show!

I was there that evening in 1999 - he was accompanied by Grant Geisman (guitar) and Lee Sklar (bass), and it was up until then the only gig I'd ever been to where I knew at least three people in every row ! Excellent evening, and circumstances permitting, I'll be there in June.

VDP is playing in Montreal this September...maybe I'll go see that show to make up for missing Brian in Albany last fall.

Anyone know who plays in VDP's band?
For the recent shows, I believe Clare and the Reasons acted as his backing band.

Thanks for any info!
