I wrote most of a TV Tropes page about The Beach Boys, and I'm wondering what you guys think of it, in terms of quality and historical accuracy and whatnot.

"The last concert featuring the entire lineup of The Beach Boys (sans Chaplin and Fataar) was in 1980 at Knebworth. "

There were a handful of shows in 1983 that featured all six.

Quote
1977's Love You is the last Beach Boys album which is generally respected amongst the fanbase. It's also the last album before Mike Love and Synthesizeritis  took over. Coincidence?

1. Synthesizers were heavily used by Brian, for example on the mentioned "Love you".

2. David Marks wasn't a replacement for Al Jardine, but for Brian

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Strongly suggest you reconsider that statement... mainly 'cause you're 100% wrong.

Try this..."The Beach Boys were America's preeminent pop band in the early-to-mid 1960's. Composed of brothers Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, their friend Al Jardine and their neighbor David Marks who left after their fourth LP. Later lineups included mainstay Bruce Johnston, and also briefly South Africans Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar."

You're right. I through around Al and Dave. Al came back as a replacement for Brian.
