This makes me wish that we could somehow get ahold of Brian's personal movies from this era. Who knows who or what you'd see! I remember from one of the books that Michael Vosse ( I think) talks about how Brian got a Video Camera for Christmas, and they filmed VDP showing how to roll a joint (which Van had no recollection of).

Edit: Actually, sounds like something from the "Fire" sessions, likely between takes. Just a guess - I've heard a lot of the session stuff but not everything.

The bass part at 1:45 is what you get when you run one of the stereo versions of the 'Bicycle Rider' section from SOT 17 through some sort of phase cancellation, it's genuine and yes, it does resemble the chorus of 'I Was Made For Lovin' You' by Kiss.  The bit at 2:16 is 'Bag Of Tricks".

Paul Williams, in his book, talks about being there the day Brian got the video camera, and how they used it and when they focused in on the Christmas tree, the lights started to burn the film (I think they were stoned). I think it's the Peter Ames Carlin book where it talks about VDP rolling the joint....
