What is a Hodad???
A Hodad is someone who hangs out with surfers but
isn’t one. One, who drives to the beach with a board
on the car, sticks his board in the sand and tans and
picks up Honeys. Come and meet other Hodads Memorial
Weekend at the Embassy Suites!

Hodad Fest offers:
Buffet Lunch, tables that offer crafts, memorabilia
displays, Beach Boy photo displays collectables and
merchandise. A Beach Boys art contest with prizes in
two categories; under 18 and adult. Get creative and
bring your artwork to show other Beach Boys fans! As a
special attraction a game of “Beach Boy Jeopardy” will
be played with a FANTASTIC prize for the winner.
Sunday we are hosting a Beach Wear party luncheon at
the hotel. The person with the best and most creative
ensemble will win a prize to be determined. Bring your
Hawaiian shirts and sandals for a fun afternoon!
Ticket Price: $50 for the whole weekend – April 4th

Hotel rate: $ 99 King and $119 for a double double. A
LIMITED amount of rooms available, please call
directly and request HOF rate. 734-462-6000. On April
27th, 2006 we will release the unbooked rooms with the
Hodad Fest rate back to the hotel. There is still a
chance of getting a room after that but we cannot
guarantee the Hodad Fest rate.

Special Guest Speaker: Domenic Priore author of Smile
and Dumb Angel
He is the author of Look! Listen! Vibrate! SMILE!, a
study of the Beach Boys' Smile sessions and Smile: The
Story of Brian Wilson's Lost Masterpiece.

Special Guests: Michael Meros - former Beach Boys
keyboardist from 1979 -2002.
Bobby Figueroa - former Beach Boys
drummer from 1974 - 1988

Entertainment: Adam Marsland and the Chaos Band, Special Guest Alan Boyd - Trolley Stop Lounge – Taylor Michigan May 27th that evening.
