DW is also the name of a drum-company....  Cheesy

Nice to see this. Should be a collector's item, because with Dennis' way of playing, I wonder that a drumstick even survived one concert....  Grin

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Hey Rocker , wouldn't it be nice if DW drums were named after Dennis Huh Sadly not as DW (the cream of , should i say mainstream mass produced kits) stands for Drum Workshops , but I do understand that there is a connection down the line as DW were once (or the guys involved) part of Cameo Drums , whose biggest name player was a certain Dennis Wilson

Makes me wonder who the guy's father was in the auction.  Nick Grillo?

Just found it on my hard drive. Can't remember where I got it from originally (somewhere on the web for sure). But I like it....

EDIT:

In the right corner below it says "Denny's drums circa 1964..... how Picasso is that?"

And the name of the file on my pc says something with "Dumb Angel", so it could come from the magazine, but that doesn't explain the picture itself of course.....

FWIW:
The seller is a woman, Alison, and her father worked in Concert promotion for the BBs before going on the road with them when they asked him to do so; In her words, he was their "Road Guy". Would that have made him the tpour manager?
He's currently in the process of writing a book on his time with the band, using whatever pics he has  from that time period. ( 1968-69 ?)

No. That is prohibited here, on ethical grounds. Put it on the blueboard, please.
