Anyone know when Al moved from Ohio to CA?

My parents are from his hometown & I'm currently living here and was curious as to when he moved out to CA? Of all the reading I've done,  I've yet to find an answer.

A quick look at AGD's timeline suggests that the Jardine's moved to California in 1955

Defintiely 1955. interesting to note that Al and David Marks lived relatively near each other before they moved west(Al in Ohio, Dave in PA.)...and they each moved to California in 1955...each ended up befriending the Wilsons, and then ended up in the same band. What are the odds on that? BTW...you can read about it in the book The Lost Beach Boy...just saying.

Jon, I can basically cut and paste everything on this board and find your book. Smiley But that would take so much time and trouble. I own both your books. Very interesting to read from the different perspective of David. It would be interesting to get Al's perspective as well. No pressure!

I found a used copy that was signed too a few weeks ago for $6.00  Shocked

This is just a guess but based on where Al's family lived he was probably in the Bath school system.  I am guessing that off of the school systems of today, so I may be wrong and it may have been different then.
