OK, well, I was listening to BWPS this morning and I take back any complaints I ever made about it. That was just me being a dork. It's an amazing CD and a great work of art, and we're lucky to have this music. I just wanted to spread some love.  Banana

Ok, it's not April 1 so what gives?

Juuuuusssttt kidding!  LOL Hey, BWPS is what it is.  It's not mandatory that everyone just simply love it.  It has high points and maybe a low point or two.  I'm totally thrilled that we have it.

I agree with you. Taken all by itself, it's beautiful. I think it deserves the praise it gets.

I was kind of hoping this would be a thread about serpents and lakes of fire and plagues and pestilence and whatnot.

But BWPS is good, too. And while I acknowledge a finished 1967 Beach Boys version would have almost certainly been better, I love it--especially more than the alternative, which is a bunch of unfinished stuff that everyone argues over. (Not that they stopped arguing over it with BWPS' release...)

I thought it was going to be a thread about Love's 2nd LP - the one which would have been the best album to come out of California in 67 if the second side hadn't consisted of this track.
